My Mother's Wall Of Fame
March 5, 2008 by Sandra Joseph
A favorite place of mine and for many who visit our home is my Mother's Wall of Fame. This is a long hallway, right off of my kitchen leading to the garage. Everyone who comes to my home is always drawn to spend time at my Mom's Wall of Fame. This wall is my favorite in my house, as it features artwork from each of my daughters along with a photo of them at a younger age. Even if I had millions of dollars to spend on expensive artwork, these frames of their sweet masterpieces of our family and house, tea parties and big happy smiles would be my favorites. They speak to me of recognizable moments when my daughters were young, could snuggle in
my lap and their world revolved around our home. Every day as I walk by, I treasure these masterpieces and I remember how faithful God has been faithful to allow us to raise daughters to their current age with special memories.
My oldest daughter, along with my help, did this for me for my birthday several years ago (thanks Alycia). At the same time, she also took some of the many notes that the girls wrote me and put them in a frame. Just reading one or two of them make me smile each time - it takes so little to take me back to those days.
Special reminders of days gone past - days that seemed like they would never end and yet somehow did. How thankful I am for these sweet reminders of my daughter's childhood days.
